While very different people, gigging for very different reasons, they face a similar challenge. What do they do when something goes wrong? Maybe Jason’s son broke a tooth during baseball. Maybe Sarah’s new contract doesn’t have the health coverage her last one did. That’s why we’re introducing our solution: gigLife. Benefits and community for the gig economy.

To start accessing a My Healthcare Spending Account for health expenses or MeFirst cash account for accessing funds in an emergency, they can choose from one of the tax-deductible paid tiers, with the additional benefit of being able to schedule time with business professionals like lawyers or accountants.

gigLife solves the challenge of supporting dynamic and engaged independent workers by providing benefits they might lack, a buffer for when they’re between gigs, and access to professionals to help them with financial or legal advice. As a growing platform, gigLife also creates an opportunity for group advocacy for the gig worker community.

gigLife pays for the benefits through a combination of membership fees and the unique use of group life insurance. gigLife buys life insurance on every member and advances a portion of the death benefit to members to help pay for the benefits. The product recoups expenses through the death benefit when the insured passes.
